There is no Plan B.
The Bible describes heaven as a place of absolute perfection:
“God will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
This sounds like Good News to me. It’s the kind of Good News that everyone on earth desperately needs to hear. The question is, “Will we tell them?” Romans 10:13-14 (NLT) says:
“… Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?”
You see, it’s up to us to share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone in our Circle of Influence.
On Day #1 we asked the question, “AS A CHRISTIAN, what is the highest and best use of MY LIFE?” I can’t imagine anything more important that we could do with the rest of our days on planet earth than introduce people to Jesus Christ. Nothing else compares to this. Every interaction we have with people far from God has eternal significance.
There is a fable that when Jesus returned to heaven, one of the angels questioned Him about how the Good News would be spread. Jesus responded that it was up to His followers to spread the Good News. The angel was shocked. “But what if they don’t? What if they get sidetracked by other things? What if they forget? Isn’t there another alternative?” Jesus replied, “There is no Plan B.”
As followers of Christ we must understand that we are Christ’s Plan A for a lost and dying world.
