Are you willing to move out of your comfort zone?
There’s no way of knowing if my attempt to INFORM someone of My Story or His Story will be positively received. My invitation to a bridge event could be met with a, “Sure. Thanks for asking,” or a “Thanks, but no thanks.” We just don’t know.
Moving out of our comfort zone into the zone of the unknown can be scary. But we can overcome our fear and reach out to people far from God. The Bible repeatedly assures us that WHERE GOD GUIDES, GOD PROVIDES. Thus, when the Holy Spirit prompts us to INVEST, INFORM and INVITE, we can count on Him to provide us with what we should say and do. Jesus told His apostles, “… do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Matthew 10:19-20 (NIV).
You and I have the Holy Spirit residing within us. If we surrender our fear and anxiety to Him, He will empower us to reach out. We don’t have to worry about how that person will respond. That’s God’s responsibility. We have familiarized ourselves with My Story and His Story and the Holy Spirit will give us what needs to be said.
So, pray for the Holy Spirit to increase your awareness of opportunities to INVEST. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you discernment and sensitivity as you INFORM and INVITE. Then step out in faith.
You can do it!
