Good News Gathering believes that prayer is one of the most important elements of an individual Christian’s walk of faith. But it is also one of the most powerful ways that a church can make a difference in the world.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says “if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This passage emphasizes the power of prayer when a group of people come together to ask for God’s will to be done in the lives of people, nations, churches, and anything else on their hearts.

To best equip GNG to fully achieve its mission, and to meet the prayer needs of individuals inside and outside our church family, GNG has created a ministry called the Prayer Team.

The Prayer Team is comprised of individuals who are committed followers of Christ, and deeply connected to GNG and its mission. This team will meet on a weekly basis to pray for the needs of the individuals listed on our weekly prayer list, and will confidentially handle all prayer requests that are submitted. They will also lift up in prayer the overall direction and leadership of GNG, our organizational partners, and our community, state, nation and world.

This Team plays a valuable role in helping GNG be the church God has called it to be.

If you would like to submit a prayer request for the team to pray for, you may do so by filling out the Communication Card during our Sunday services, or by emailing the request to info@goodnewsgathering.org.
